The IntelliPAP Bilevel S is the perfect choice for patients who require higher pressures to maintain an open airway. With IPAP and EPAP pressures ranges of 3 to 25 cm H20, the IntelliPAP Bilevel S offers maximum adjustability and can be operated in both CPAP and Bilevel mode, but without the assistance of a backup rate. In addition, this device offers patented Flow Rounding technology, which further enhances comfort by allowing for adjustment of transitions in and out of IPAP and EPAP. Flow Rounding provides for a more natural and comfortable waveform with independent IPAP and EPAP transition setting ranges from 0 to 5. The SmartLink Therapy Management system provides a simple means of monitoring and recording BiLevel usage and evaluating the effectiveness of BiLevel therapy. SmartLink can be added to any IntelliPAP model, instantly increasing its capability. Stored data is transferred to a computer via an SD card for analysis by the SmartLink software package. Once the patient monitoring period is complete, then the module can be removed and placed on another IntelliPAP unit. This IntelliPAP CPAP includes SmartCode. SmartCode is an alpha-numeric code that is shown on the display of the IntelliPAP. Much like a bar code, the character and sequence of the characters contain vital CPAP usage data in an encrypted form. Once the code is decrypted using our on-line SmartCode Report Generator, usage data—and depending on the device, efficacy data—is presented in an easy to read and understand report. Reports can be saved as a pdf and placed in the patient’s record. The benefits of SmartCode are that the CPAP does not need to be directly connected to the computer, nor does it use memory cards. SmartCode is available in every model of IntelliPAP without additional fees or equipment/ software and provides insightful data that can be used to determine a patient’s compliance and monitor the effectiveness of the prescribed therapy.
